Raising capital is hard, liquidity is tight, and permissible investment yields are terrible.
We will discuss (1) how sale/leaseback transactions with CUSO buyers have enabled credit unions to obtain significant and instant liquidity and capital increases, (2) lending strategies to multiply that liquidity and capital, and (3) other possible uses for the liquidity and capital. For credit union investors in CUSOs purchasing the real estate, we will show a long term, sustainable and growing investment income stream that is substantially more than under other permissible investments.
